Afrobeats superstar BNXN, formerly known as Buju, has made a surprise return with his brand new single titled āOnlineā, accompanied by a crisp official music video.
Released at midnight on September 17, 2026 via T.Y.E / EMPIRE, āOnlineā is produced by frequent collaborator Telz, who gives BNXN a smooth Afrobeats x Amapiano blend to float on. The song sees BNXN addressing the pressure of always being online and the need to disconnect from social media noise to focus on real life.
The visuals, directed by JakeTheShooter, come with smooth transitions, night-time ambiance, and a calm, aesthetic feel that matches the mood of the song perfectly. BNXN is seen stepping away from his phone, enjoying life offline before coming back on his own terms.

What Is BNXN Online About?
āOnlineā is not just a love song, it is BNXN speaking about social media pressure. The lyrics talk about people who are always online, watching, commenting, but not living in reality. BNXN sings about choosing peace over clout and protecting his mental health by logging off.
The chorus is catchy and relatable for young Nigerians who spend hours on Instagram, TikTok and X. The line āI no dey online like thatā has already become a caption trend on social media since the song dropped.
BNXN Online Review
Production-wise, Telz delivers a soft Amapiano drum with soulful chords that let BNXNās vocals shine. BNXN uses his signature smooth delivery, mixing pidgin and English. The song has high replay value and fits perfectly for late-night listening.
Unlike his more energetic hits like āFinesseā with Pheelz or āTrabayeā, āOnlineā is calm, reflective and mature. It shows growth from the BNXN we knew in 2021.
āOnlineā serves as the second official single off BNXNās forthcoming 6-track EP titled āStill In Chargeā scheduled to drop on September 24, 2026. The project follows his earlier release āEja Mejaā with Asake in July and will be his first project since his 2023 debut album āSincerely, Bensonā which peaked at No. 11 on Billboard World Albums chart.
Since its release, āOnlineā has received massive love from fans who praise its catchy hook, soulful delivery, and replay value. The song debuted at No.1 on TCL Radio Top 10 chart and is currently trending on Apple Music Nigeria Top 10, YouTube Trending, and Shazam Nigeria.
M2NICE Take: BNXNās āOnlineā is timely. In an era where Afrobeats artists face constant online criticism and fake news, the song feels personal. BNXN has been away from major releases for months, and choosing to sing about disconnecting is a smart comeback. The song is likely to grow bigger when the EP drops on September 24.
