Celine Dion returned to the stage in Paris

Celine Dion wept tears of joy on Saturday as she returned to the stage in Paris for her first full concert in six years. The show was sold out.

The 58-year-old opened with "On ne change pas" at Paris La Défense Arena. She told 30,000 fans she had made a promise to come back.

"These are, of course, tears of joy. I'm so delighted to see you," Dion said during the performance.

Comeback After Health Battle

Dion has been battling Stiff Person Syndrome since her diagnosis in December 2022. The rare neurological disorder forced her to cancel tours and step away from live shows.

In March she announced the Paris residency, saying she was "feeling good" and "singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing."

26-Date Paris Residency Begins

Saturday's concert kicked off a 26-date residency in Paris. She will perform 10 shows in September and October 2026, and 10 more in May 2027.

The setlist included "My Heart Will Go On", "The Power of Love" and "Beauty and the Beast". Reports said Michelle Obama was in attendance.

Big Demand For Tickets

480,000 tickets have already been sold for the Paris shows. Her return is being called one of the biggest music comebacks of 2026.
